Sorry it's been so long since I have been on line. Things went a little aray this past 6 weeks. Dunnellong held is annual Boomtown Event, closing main street bring in Bands, Arts and Craft Vendors and so much more. I was in the thick of things because I am a member of the Chamber and volunteered to assist in making Boomtown happen. Right in the middle of Boomtown my daughter-in-law gave birth to my 3rd grandson. His name is Matthew Ryan. Born April 16th at 12 noon. He was a big boy weighting in at 9.3 pounds and 21" long.
Then Tammy decided to close the Book Nook. Two kids under the age of 3 with one being a new born was alot to do, so the Book Store was expendable. Now the paper back books are 30 cents each or 4 for $1.00 and the Hardcovers are 75 cents each or 4 for $2.00 until they are gone.
Now on to some more news, we are working on something new. One of our Stitching Group ladies is planning on having classes in jewerly making. We spoke at lenght a week ago. Now it's on hold until she finishes with some medical tests. She works with metals such as silver and bronze. She showe us some of her pieces last week. They were sure pretty. Will keep you posted on her progress with the classes.

March is here
Now it's March. Where did February go?
A friend said she was not able to be a follower.
So I tried to put myself in personally as a follower,
low and behold it put Stitch Niche in as a follower.
Please let me know if you are trying to be a follower.
Contact me at my email: stitchniche@bellsouth.net.
Hopefully we can fix this if not I'll do more research
on the matter.

Well, it's February already. So far the weather has not been to friendly.
I received some new colors from Plymouth in Dreambaby. Red, Royal,
Orange, and Navy, ooops Navy gone. It came in on Friday and went
out on Saturday. It's such a soft yarn. I am working on a rib knit cap in
Comfort. Boy is it soft.
I am working on a sale to start next Wednesday. I found out that doing
a sale on First Saturday is to hetic for everyone. By starting it on Wednesday
everyone doen't feel the need to race into the store on Saturday. They can
take their time and come in before Saturday or on Saturday.
I will put out an email blast listing the sale items on Wednesday, so keep an
eye out.

Things have been busy lately. Mom and I have been rearrainging the store. We pulled all the sewing and quilting supplies out of the class room. I decided to make it just a class room, so we are hanging finished projects on the walls instead of merchandise. I put some of the supplies on clearence sale, but not all.
We also have a new yarn in stock. It is called Berroco Comfort. It is a 50/50 Nylon Acrylic blend. It's real soft and easy to work with. I just finished a knitted shell top. It will be on display Monday.
Tammy said a couple of boxes from Universal arrived on Friday. Hoping it's some more of the new yarn I purchased. Just like Christmas.
